Any person coming to live at Mendip Lodge has the choice to retain their existing GP, but this may be subject to them remaining in the practice's geographical area.
If required or necessary the home will consult with the resident and help to register at a new GP practice to ensure access to medical healthcare professionals including, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, District Nurses etc. Additionally, trained staff can support a resident to manage their medication regime safely or, if they wish, can do this on behalf of the resident with their input. We follow standards required for the administration and storage of medication with the support of prescribers, usually the GP, and our pharmacy.

Mendip Lodge uses Atlas PCS, a multiple award-winning medication dispensing system, which immensely reduces the medication errors by running automatic safety checks and flags up any potential issues.
